INTRODUCTION & BENEFITS
Sustainability reporting can assist companies to respond effectively to stakeholders, whilst providing a platform to manage economic, environmental, social and governance performance.
As a result of the recent amendments to listing rules, Hong Kong listed companies will be subject to tougher environmental, social and governance (ESG) disclosure requirements. The purpose of ESG reporting is to demonstrate the principles behind companies' sustainability strategies, and inform stakeholders of ongoing activities to protect the environment and conserve energy. Professional accountants, financial controllers, internal auditors, sustainability co-ordinators and corporate executives working in listed companies are expected to be familiar with the core requirements of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Sustainability Reporting G4 Guidelines and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange ESG reporting requirements.
The Sustainability Reporting Diploma will give you a comprehensive knowledge of the core requirements of GRI G4 Guidelines, HKEX ESG reporting requirements, and assurance reporting frameworks commonly applied.
The diploma is taught in English. The structure is as follows:
- Session 1 - 3 hours lecture/training
- Session 2 - 3 hours lecture/training
- Session 3 - 3 hours lecture/training
