The AIA-CPA Conversion Programme was jointly established by AIA and the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CICPA) to advance global opportunities for members in China.
This course is open to all fully qualified CICPA members, who have gained their membership by exam, who hold a relevant level of English (IELTS 6 or equivalent), and who have at least three years' work experience in the accounting field.
The course is only available in China.
The programme is tested with a written exam.
On completion of the conversion course, successful candidates are eligible to apply for membership of AIA. All applications for AIA Associate Membership through the conversion programme must be submitted via the AIA Beijing Desk.
Beijing HuaBao WeiYe Management Consulting Co Ltd is solely authorised to conduct the CPA Conversion Programme in China, with guidance from AIA.

On January 13, 2022, the Association of International Accountants (AIA), Enterprise Financial Management Association of China and China Association for Professional Managers signed the "Global Digital Accountant" (GDA) and “Global Financial Leadership and Risk Appraiser” (GFLRA) knowledge system cooperation agreement, in order to jointly cultivate international high-end accounting talents with deep integration of Global Digital technology. The three parties will jointly promote the training of international digital financial management and accounting talents in China.
China Association for Professional Managers (CAPM), is a national association directly registered and managed by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, which undertakes socialisation evaluation and identification of professional manager talent qualifications; promoting professional manager talent qualifications, providing human resources and recruitment services. It is a non-profit legal entity developing professional managers for the purposes of public welfare.
In accordance with the relevant guidelines, policies and requirements, CAPM aims to play a role continuously improving the system of qualification evaluation, promoting the construction of relevant systems, improving the professionalism, marketisation, specialisation and internationalisation level of the talent team, improving operations and management levels and international competitiveness of Chinese enterprises as a whole.
The Enterprise Financial Management Association of China (EFMAC) is a state-level association approved by The State Council and registered by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, as a “bridge” for all sectors of society and enterprises to communicate with each other. As well as to fully mobilise social resources, EFMAC aims to jointly create symbiotic, alternate, regeneration of economic platforms, alongside providing services for national economic construction, enterprise financial management, and financial management, etc whilst acting as a think-tank for the financial management of both the state and wider enterprise.
