AIA welcomed a delegation from Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance (SLUAF) and Metro Education this week to celebrate our 20-year partnership. By working together with common values and innovative qualifications the partnership has produced thousands of graduates through the AIA & Lixin International Programme and it is upon this already successful basis that the delegation travelled to the UK to discuss expanding the provision of globally recognised, high quality qualifications and skills training for finance professionals.

The continued collaborations reaffirm AIA’s commitment to providing AIA members with trusted high quality partner services at discounted rates. The services on offer aim to promote growth, increase efficiency and decrease costs for accountants around the world.
Speaking at a New City Agenda event held in the Houses of Parliament on 16 May 2019, Sir John Kingman, the author of the independent review of the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) set out the broad range of 83 recommendations contained within the report and his expectation of future reform to implement the review.
On 8 May finalists were invited to attend the Barker Brooks Communications organised Yorkshire Accountancy Awards at the New Dock Hall in Leeds. AIA were once again honoured to be part of the gender balanced judging panel for this prestigious Xero sponsored event, which celebrates the achievements and successes of the Yorkshire region’s best and brightest talent.

AIA honoured to be recognised as a Member of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) Foundation. To celebrate the recognition AIA attended a tea reception, hosted by PolyU on Thursday 09 May 2019 in the Alumni Atrium, Chung Sze Yuen Building, PolyU. During the reception AIA were also awarded a certificate of appreciation in acknowledgment of the continued support and commitment shown to the University’s development over many years.
