HONG KONG FOREIGN CURRENCY RESERVE ASSETS RISE

Hong Kong’s official foreign currency reserve assets grew by US$700 million to US$320.9 billion in June, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority have announced.

There were no unsettled foreign exchange contracts at the end of June and the end of May.

The total foreign currency reserve assets represent more than seven times the currency in circulation or about 49% of Hong Kong dollar M3.
