Mentoring Programme for Accountants Launches This Month

A new mentoring and training programme for owners of start-up and micro accountancy firms is set to launch this month (February).

The online Accountant Power Up Programme is designed to “tackle the challenges typically faced by new accountancy firms or by micro-firms who are struggling to grow”.

Each session of the 12-week programme will focus on a specific area, such as pricing profitably, marketing to attract the right kind of clients or creating efficient systems. The programme has been developed by online knowledge platform The Accountants KnowHow Club.

Practice growth expert Kerry Riley said: “We talk to accountants all the time and hear the same challenges and frustrations over and over again, particularly when they’re just starting out.

“All too often they start up their practice without a clear idea of what they ultimately want it to look like. So they end up taking on clients they don’t really want to work with for fees that don’t reflect their true worth.”

She added: “The Power Up Programme uses methodology that’s helped thousands of accountants create a practice where they can do the kind of work they really enjoy and get well rewarded for it.

“We’ve made it as accessible as possible as we know how busy these accountants are. And we’ve also made sure that they get all the support they need to implement the learning from the programme so that they see results quickly.”
