The Association of International Accountants (AIA), the global body for professional accountants held its annual Education Conference today (19 January 2018).

Back in early October AIA President, Les Bradley provided members with an insightful update on AIA developments which had occurred during the course of 2017. The last few months however have been rather eventful for our President, so we took the opportunity to catch up with Mr Bradley in late December as he attended the final AIA Council Meeting of 2017 to ask him for his reflections on an eventful 2017, and his aspirations for the new year ahead.

The Association of International Accountants (AIA), the global body for professional accountants last night (19 December) supported the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) Reception for International Trade addressed by Rt Hon. Greg Hands MP and Mark Garnier MP.

12 December 2017

On 7 December 2017 the AIA attended the IAB and IAAP UK International Business and Skills Awards at the House of Commons in London. In partnership with Lloyds Bank, AMLCC and several other notable sponsors, the awards reward outstanding individuals, students and businesses within the accountancy industry.

On 01 December 2017, AIA President Les Bradley was awarded with an Honorary Professorship during his recent visit to Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance. The AIA president visited the University along with the AIA Regulatory Strategy Manager, David Potts. They were greeted by the Secretary, Vice President and Dean of the university.
