Gerard Long is currently Head of Department of Accounting and Economics at the South East Technological University (SETU), where he has worked for more than 20 years. He is responsible for the day-to-day organisation of the department including staffing, timetabling, academic standards and examinations. Gerard lectures and examines various modules focussing on auditing and professional ethics. Alongside his teaching activities, Gerard has has considerable experience as an examiner and marker for various professional accounting bodies and is an Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute.
