What has changed, and what is going to change? Along with looking at important case law rulings from the year, this session will explore what businesses need to know about the fast moving landscape of employment law.

Whilst Head of HR at a large manufacturing organisation, Kathy Daniels became interested in employment law and now writes and speaks extensively on the topic. She writes for organisations such as the CIPD as well as presenting seminars and training events. These cover a variety of audiences including small business entrepreneurs on the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses programme, HR practitioners and lawyers.

She has written a number of books, including an employment law textbook which is now in its fifth edition. She writes regular newsletters for a range of organisations, including the CIPD. Kathy is the CIPD Lead Tutor for employment law and is also a Lay Member of the Employment Tribunals, sitting in Birmingham.
