AIA has been offering the AIA professional accountancy qualification in China since 1997 and works with a growing network of partners and offices throughout the Mainland. AIA works to build a dynamic and influential network of International Accountants. Individuals holding AIA membership can benefit from enhanced career and employment opportunities, international networks and hold a prestigious qualification. 


AIA's Beijing Representative Office opened in January 2017 and joins a network of offices across the Chinese mainland. 

Speaking during the event, attended by AIA study providers and distinguished partners, AIA chief executive Philip Turnbull said "It is with great excitement that we open the Beijing Representative Office today. As AIA continues to grow and expand, the new Beijing Representative Office will provide help and support to our members in China, organise networking events alongside CPD and provide a focus for expansion in northern China."

AIA President Les Bradley, cutting the ribbon to open the new office remarked "It is my pleasure to open the new AIA UK Beijing Representative Office here today with our distinguished partners. The new Office will provide a focus for AIA's activities in China to work with current and future partners to build on our success and continue to proivde world class service for our members and students."

AIA has signed strategic agreements and Memoranda of Understanding with partners including Beijing National Accounting Institute (BNAI) and China Association of Chief Financial Officers (CACFO).

The agreement between AIA and the BNAI will foster collaboration with the aim of advancing the accountancy profession in an international environment, and nurture the exchange of knowledge and market intelligence between the two organisations, enhancing accounting professionalism in both the UK and China. The agreement faciliates graduates of the BNAI Leading Talent Programme to be directly admitted into Associate membership of AIA.

AIA and CACFO have collaborated closely over a number of years to undertake the AIA-CACFO Elite Program, which sets out to actively promote international exchanges and cooperation, whilst helping to cultivate high-performing financial management personnel with strategic global vision, and strong professional ethics who have the ability to directly operate within the international arena and tackle globalization challenges.
