AIA operates a policy of exemptions from our exams, designed to reduce repetition for students who have already attained a qualification of an acceptable standard.
Exemptions offers are awarded on registration as a student and are based on the academic and professional qualifications of each individual student.
Qualifications that are not listed in the exemption database below will be assessed on an individual basis. Students are required to pay an exemption fee for each exempted paper and exemptions are not offered on any of the AIA Professional Level 2 papers.
Students following the Recognised Professional Qualification (RPQ) can apply for exemptions for relevant qualifications attained within the past five years.

AIA also welcomes applications from international institutions where their degree programme(s) have been recognised by the local professional accountancy body.
