The Association of International Accountants (AIA), the global body for professional accountants are delighted to announce the winners of the 2017 AIA President's awards.

The awards ceremony took place at Plaisterers' Hall, One London Wall on Thursday 5th October as part of the annual AIA President's Dinner and Awards.

Andrew Castle, former British tennis player and television presenter hosted the evening, which attracted over 170 guests from around the globe.

The AIA awards recognise excellence in the field of Accountancy, with winners being carefully selected by a judging panel made up of distinguished industry professionals who form the AIA Council.

Congratulations to the award winners:

  • Outstanding Contribution to the Accountancy Profession - Sir Winfried Bischoff
  • AIA Accountant of the Year - Cyd Smith
  • Accountancy Media of the Year - AccountingWeb
  • Accountancy Firm of the Year - West Yorkshire Community Accounting Services (WYCAS)
  • Accountancy Software of the Year - AMLCC
  • AIA Student of the Year - Wu Li Jun

Commenting on the evening, AIA CEO Philip Turnbull, said: "First and foremost congratulations to all of our award nominees and winners.
